Yesterday Oracle announced that they have bought SUN! The transaction is valued at approximately $7.4 billion. Wah..wah..wah..

For your information, Sun is a leading provider of standards-based computing infrastructure, including enterprise computing systems, software and storage.

And Oracle is a Standards-based enterprise software leader. Which have 86,500 employees globally and operating in 145 countries.

Overall, both customer and partners will expect some of the benefit. Which is, Sun Customer can get access to Oracle Global Support and services organization while Oracle customers can take advantage of Sun’s significant innovation. :) It's still a win-win situation right?

MissSilent Says: IBM also bid for SUN. But we WIN! :)
